Hey guys been lurking on here for a while, love the variety of bikes on here! I've built a couple bobbers and I'm now working towards building my first cafe racer. Just picked up an almost stock 76 Cb750f but I'm starting to think I shouldn't hack it up and just try to find a basket case to build up. Got it for $1000 which was a great deal IMO. If I could find a stock seat or pan to recover and some headlight ears this girl would be a clean stock bike....hint hint to anyone who has one they'd sell? Haha. Also anyone in driving distance from Lexington ky with a basket cb750 shoot me a message.
Thanks BLAKE! I'm really torn on whether to keep this bike stock or not but for the time being I think I'm going to work on getting the engine/carbs dialed in while saving up parts that I know I want (got some finned valve inspection covers to start off with haha) that way I can have everything I need so I can knock out the build pretty quick as this is my only bike. When I do get a cafe built up I'm thinking it's going to be heavily inspired by the Wrench Monkees #11 (Gorilla Punch) I absolutely LOVE that bike. Nowhere near a traditional cafe build...but oh well. Thats why I dig this site. Lots of variety to take inspiration from.
