Hi. My name is Sam and I've been into bikes my whole life. Currently 36 yrs old and have an 03 bandit 1200 with a stage 3 tune and gsxr cams as my daily rider and a 73 cb750 k3 bored to 849 with cx3 cam, fully rebuilt and ported head, etc... as my endless project bike. Currently runs but needs a bunch of work including but not limited to: drag bars cut to accept wiring, tank and side covers body work and paint, oil leak fixed, seat recovered, suspension and brakes upgraded and evil satanic koso gauge excorcised of demons.

Other than the machine work on the cyls and heads (if I had a Bridgeport I'd have done that as well) I've built this bike entirely by myself. Hoping to lend a hand with tech questions and maybe get a few of my own answered.

Thanks. Can't wait to get this stupid bike done so I can move on to my next project.
hahaha I was barely into my first project when I moved onto the next. I still haven't done anything more with the first.

crap I have 3 going at the moment and going to pick up a rolling frame today.................why? ? ? ? ?

I've had a 750 virago sitting in a barn for 3 years waiting for me to finish this damn honda. I also work on bikes for cash in my garage and am constantly upgrading things on my daily rider...I still have a set of sonic springs and some gold valves to put in the bandit forks...plus work 40+ hours a day and keep up the landscaping and service the wife etc..... why can't someone just pay me to build bikes?

Greetings from a fellow Ohian! Welcome to the madness

Not a lot of good riding to the west. Best roads are in Southeast ohio in the foothills. Twisty roads for days.
agreed. Pretty straight and flat out here. We rode in the Mohican area quite a bit though. Nice riding out that way.

Any state route in Coshocton or Guernsey county will be pretty much awesome. You're welcome to meet up with me some time if you can handle a long day and lots of curves.

Might take you up on that.. but it may be a hot minute before I get my bikes back on the road haha I just got rid of my daily for another project (that just so happens to have 4 wheels) and my cb550 and gt250 are still in pieces haha. I almost snagged a bandit 1200 a few years back. Those are one heck of a machine.

Yeah it was kinda quick stock but the suspension was garbage and they really plug up and detune those motors to pass emissions. With the mods I've done it's a handfull, maybe not as insane fast feeling as my old tl1000s because of the weight but definitely one of the faster bikes I've owned. It'll do the ton in 2nd gear and it gets there in a hurry.

Welcome to the ton man ! I'm in canal Fulton go to see a local around here !

Yep I test rode the one I was looking at directly after riding my 750 shadow. I thought I was gonna throw myself right off of the back. It was the fastest bike I had ever ridden. Mind you the others was an r6.
