Hello,

I own a 1971 Kawasaki G3SSA so it's not exactly cafe material. However, the styling is what I'm going for and it's my first bike. It's a daily commuter for me to get to college and gets great gas mileage.

I brought it home in May like this.

So far I've been able to change a few things.

Up next is to delete the rear fender and painting the rims and spokes.

Or,go ahead and remove the fender and use the licence plate.

That's what I did. Inner fender which goes up about half way, and my plate coming off the rear for the rest.

By the way, welcome aboard, glad to see another Utah bike on here!

Thanks for the responses. For my first bike it has been a lot of fun to put what little work I have into it. I took the rear fender off but I decided that I'm going to just get a shorter rear fender when I get a new taillight assembly. I just painted the wheels black last week and in my opinion it looks a lot better.

So next up is trimming the bars a little and getting a rear set up. Also, I'm thinking about putting number plates in place of the side covers.

Handlebars have been trimmed down three inches and it makes a big difference. I was waiting until I had the tools and time to get it done. But I'm glad it makes it look a lot better and makes it more comfortable to ride.

I also put the rear fender back on but shortened it a bit.

I was able to get my hands on a free passenger seat from a Honda Aero that I'm going to trim down and attach a rear cowl to. I was originally thinking of redoing the OEM seat but I didn't want to chop it up and it would be nice to have a single and double rider seat.
