Hello All,
I recently aquired an Yamaha 81' SR250 "Exciter" off craigslist for $100. It's been in the elements for a while and its definitely in rough shape, but it doesn't look like anything is missing. The only thing I know for sure is that I have no keys for it, so I'm struggling with how to get the tank open to inspect it, as well as getting the seat off, but I'll think of something. I've got the service manual and a whole lot of gumption. I'm new to bikes, and I bought it as my intro to all things motorcycles! I'm really excited to get started, any tips or tricks are greatly appreciated! I'll try to post the project updates in the appropriate threads elsewhere.
