Grinding tabs off CB350 frame

Ok, getting ready to sandblast and PC a CB350 frame, but wanted to grind off any unnecessary tabs first. I don't plan to use the center stand, will be installing rearsets and relocating battery behind the seat. I don't want to remove tabs that I may need later, so feedback would be much appreciated.

Also, the area under the seat where side covers attached, if those tabs are removed, do they need additional welding reinforcements. Seems like if they are removed, it would leave a gap in the frame. I'll post a pic if you guys aren't sure what I'm talking about.

Anyway, looking forward to some responses!

Post a picture for better response.

As far as cutting/grinding tabs, PLEASE keep this in mind:
Cutting off tabs with a cutting wheel is fine, but I do NOT suggest a coarse grinder wheel for smoothing out the removed tab. Grinder wheels are Very rugged and unforgiving. The tubing in these older bike frames are Very thin, and if you use a standard grinder you'll easily end up weakening parts of the frame. Instead, use a Surface wheel on a grinder. This is 40,60,80,120 grit sandpaper put into a massive array of overlapped pads. They will remove just as well if not better depending on the job, but will not gouge or remove near as much metal around the area being cleaned.

depends on what you want to keep on the bike.

on my xs400 I'm smoothing everything and making my own seat mounting points and everything else. but i remembered what all the tabs were for because i tore the bike apart and cut the same night. convenient.

normally grinding tabs and PC are recommended to be done last, after the whole bike has been "built" and working

I'm working on a couple things at the same time, while waiting for parts to come in. I'd rather not have to tear everything down after putting parts on. Anyway, ended up just grinding off and smoothing the tabs for the side covers in the middle of frame. Left the center stand tabs, front and rear peg brackets since you won't be able to see them anyway. Thanks guys for the feedback.

I've got a CL350 and am in the same predicament at the moment. I don't have the luxury of buying all the bits at once, offering them up and seeing what needs to go or not. I have learned that if you intend to have rearsets you need to fab a bracket for the brake light. After learning that I have become overly paranoid as to what to hack off and what not to. So, maybe if you could post some photos of what you have done would be super cool.
