Grrr...!!! Someone needs a serious beat down!

Agreed. That was bullshit regardless if everyone was on two or four wheels. Good reason to mount video on your bike.

Three things I hope for myself in this situation:

It never happens

If it does, I stay on the road

I keep a cool head like these guys.
They handled it the right way, by not beating that a-hole to a pulp.

What an ass! Im surprised he didnt run someone over in some of thoes turns. Definatly worth putting video on the bike.

This is what I'm talking about right here! Dickhead drivers who will deliberately go after motorcyclists. Let i be on back country roads or in thick inner city traffic, they will always be there. I had a soccer mom do something rather nasty to me the other day. Was on a back road coming back from a nice ride, traffic had built up around the beaches. I'm at a "T" junction trying to turn left to get to the main road, I'm at the intersection, its my turn and I'm sitting in the left hand side of my lane. Soccer mom pulls up right next to me and goes straight ahead of me, I become defensive and stick my nose out a lil more, she then tries to run me into the hillside to my left as she attempts to pull into the main road. She was on her cell phone and her kid was in the front seat. Stupid stupid cagers.... We all share the same roads, we should all play by the same rules.

Pocket full of ball bearings, all that needs to be said. It's hard to drive straight and chase a motorcycle when your windshield is in a million pieces.

I don't mean to be viewed as the voice of dissent, because that guy was a homicidal jackass, but that is a good damn reason not to pass to the left of a double stripe in a curve no less. No excuse for the assholes behavior, I just think there are enough ways to get killed out there without tempting fate. You never know when that guy you rub wrong will be crazy like this piece of shit.

Yep, there's too many people out there wound too tight. You never know who's willing to use their vehicle as a weapon or who's driving (or riding) around strapped these days. Maybe there should be motorcycle days when only two wheeled vehicles are allowed on the road? Ahhh... heaven.

I am personally not against passing in no passing zones as long as you can see far enough ahead to pass safely. I mean I've seen passing zones where you can't safely pass, but it would be legal too. Should you there instead?
Plus I have no doubt that had the first guy on the bike waited until a legal passing zone, which it didn't look like there were very many, the truck still would have swerved at him. Possibly passing in the corner is what prevented the truck from running the bike off the road completely.

Things like this are quite scary. They happen too often to be ignored. And in small towns too apparently, not just cities. Makin' me think twice about using a motorcycle as a mode of transportation.

I can't agree more. I mean the biker WAS in the wrong for passing in the no passing zone, HOWEVER, it doesn't give the drunk redneck the right to intentionally run him off the road. Just goes to show cagers do not care about bikers. The guy on the first bike is just lucky he was an experienced rider and had the skill to ride ahead of the truck and out of harms way, otherwise, he would have been a hood ornament.

After the first try at running me off the road, I would have tucked behind and got the tag # and called the cops. NO WAY I want someone like that behind me, I want them in front where I can keep an eye on them.

I've had people deliberately try to run me off the road many times. Heck, Even on bicycle I've had it happen. gotten deliberately sideswiped twice while on bicycle.... both time got plates and called cops. theres some fucking idiots out there... and yes, passing on double yellow was a no-no... but the cager was totally and completely in the wrong.

wow. well by law both riders will be getting tickets for there reckless driving far before that truck was in the picture. all it takes is someone pulling out there driveway on a blind turn expecting on coming traffic to be going 35 when you run your ass into them. again not condoning that dumbass cousin kisser because he deserves jail time for attempted murder but it looks like the local riders make a habit of riding that way on this road. if i saw them on a regular occasion doing that past my house when i had children around i would have chased them down properly got off our bikes and knocked some sense into them or the shit out of them. people are f'ing crazy enough around us two wheel riders without giving them more reason to get angry. SO after that rant lets see who can lean farthest in the next corner ;)

I actually just bought a GoPro and mounted it up this weekend, largely for this reason. If I didn't have small kids, I'd also carry a concealed weapon. The worst riders give the rest of us a bad name, and asshats like this cannot be reasoned with.

Passing on a double with a buddy behind you? Wouldn't want to be that buddy. A lot of cars don't take kindly to that sort of thing, especially in the sticks, and after the first guy, they'll be expecting it. What a douche.

A long time ago, my brother was run off into a deep ditch while trying out a track bicycle I put together. A car with at least two people laughed and used racial slurs against him as they ran him off the road. It happened so fast that all he could ID was the color of the car. What assholes! There are a lot of idiots out there, I wholeheartedly agree!!!
