thanks for all the kind words..just packed it in for the night, looks like im gonna have to get a stator for it. I tried to see if i could get the one from the sv to interchange, but no dice...they're completely different.
lol, well with as much stuff as you have managed to swap over from one bike with very little modification something was bound not to work. If it had been a 4 instead of a v-twin then you prob would have had more luck with that stator.
Ive been going over paint schemes lately with a friend of mine for his bike. some decent ideas we've come up with have been blue and gold, with shades of color kind of like an old subaru wrx sti. or blue and copper. if we do the blue and gold, we're going to brass electroplate a bunch of the little bits to give them a very durable gold-ish finish. if we go blue and copper we're just going to paint them with copper color bar-b-q paint because we dont want it to turn green if we use real copper and electroplate it.
of course ive always been a fan of low-gloss black.
