I never did the formal intro so i figured its time.

Sorry there are no pics at the moment gotta work on that.

I am currently in possession of two motorcycles, neither running.

I used to drive a 79cx500 deluxe until some lady on her cell phone decided to rear end me on the interstate. I came out fine, but the bike did not.

So i used the insurance money and then some (gotta get better at buying motorcycles) to purchase a 75 cb360.

The guy before was thought fixing the bike up meant adding pod filters, shorty mufflers, a clip-ons.

Needless to say the bike ran like shit... the tires were probably 25 years old and he had been riding on them daily

I put new tires on, changes oil, plugs, new chain, sprockets, brakes yada yada yad and it was actually running really well for awhile.

Then i got ambitious and asked my friend to solder in a new start switch, which he did poorly. Anyway the wires became connected at some point when i was riding and the starter ran for awhile before i noticed much. I then had to get it home sans trailer so i drove on it a little more. I'm almost positive the starter is fried, but i think it did some damage elsewhere, as i found oil all over the plugs when i dug in a week later or so.

I imagine the guy before me did some damage to the pistons and valves over time because when i adjusted the tappets correctly it seems to make the compression even worse.

So that bike is on the back burner at the moment since i'll be pulling the engine to see if its just seals or much scarier.

Right now i'm trying to get a parked twinstar up and running as it was the first bike i had and honestly, as lame as they look, they are the funnest city bikes i've ridden. I love cruising around town on one of those, its just too easy and laid back to drive. I'm planning on keeping that stock and making it my daily driver if i can get it running well, not screwing with it at all if i don't need to.

For the 360 i've got slightly bigger plans. Re-build as much of the engine as necessary, paint the frame and parts, change the filters and get it running smooth on the road. I already replaced the mufflers to something longer so it wouldn't be so damn loud, as i felt bad screaming through my neighborhood every day.

Anyway, thats my intro. Ive been lurking for awhile and everyone on here seems not only knowledgeable but willing to extend a hand so i'm excited to finally be posting. I hope i can provide a shred of help to someone at some point.
