Hails to all from KC...

Been browsing the forums here for a month or so while scouring the local craigslist for a viable first cafe project. As things turned out I scored a 73 CL350 just this past week and plan to spend the next few weeks going through the usual tune up and safety work. Replacing fuel lines, ignition components, regular maintenance, new cables, etc, etc, etc....

Over the winter I plan to go through the bike front to back and make it into a cafe racer. I've been extremely impressed with all the great builds on this site, very motivational.

I hope you might get a kick out of this, but the only two photos I have of it are while it was in my VW Vanagon on the way home. Wasn't sure it would fit at first, but the old VW proved capable.

I look forward to discussing ideas and look forward to getting any input members of the forum want to share as the bike progresses...

ditto. I love those little bikes. When I get all my other projects in order imma grab me a 200-360. They really aren't freeway bikes tho are they??? I get blown all over the road on my 550 so I can just imagine.

Thanks for the welcome. It is in pretty good shape. Just finished ordering up just about every consumable item on the motorcycle to replace. The next week or so should be fun.

I'm planning my project for this winter, full tear down and rebuild/customize into the cafe racer I want.

But for now, I'm going to enjoy the nice weather of late summer and fall in Kansas City.
