Half Sack completed

I put the bike up for BOTM. Put some pictures on there and we need a 2nd for the nomination on the BOTM thread.

I cant imagine ever being able to do this quality of work with a 400T.

I second it!!! Very nice! Job well done!! One of the best completed projects I've seen come through this site. But I'd rather see it go up next month, as it will probably be steam rolled by another bike which is nominated, and in my opinion not even nearly as nice.

What carb set-up did you use? I swapped out the engine in mine and got it fired up yesterday!!
I am running the stock carbs with 125 and 78 jets. It is still not perfect but pretty close.

Bringing up an old thread!

What gearing did you use? 15 tooth on the front, what on the rear? Mine is reving too much @70!

I am currently running a 37t sprocket on the rear with the 15t up front. I am using this set up for around town riding only to make it faster off the line. It revs like crazy at 70, this is not good gearing fro highway

I just re routed the switch and put it under the seat. If you look closely in this picture you will see the ignition back by the curve of the frame rail under the seat.

Oh cool, ya I plan on doing something similar under the tank with a toggle switch, rocker switch or push button switch. Again looks great!

I ran a search but couldn't find a definative answer... Could you please tell me what size jets you are running in your carbs? I am going to get some pod filters and eventually do something with the exhaust.

Bump....

I am not 100% sure on the jets right now, it has been some time since I built the bike. I am finishing up my 750 and once I get it off the lift I plan on tuning the 400. Once I do that I will give you the jet sizes and carb adjustments I have made.
