Halogen to led headlight conversion

Been Around the Block
I want to change my atv's headlights from halogen to led and I can't cross reference the bulbs so I've decided to buy sockets made for LEDs and bulbs for them, then wire them onto the circuit. So does anyone have any opinions or suggestions on how this should be done?

Take a look at the LED "work lights." Many of them are in the 9-32 volt range and can get close in terms of brightness to a sealed beam bulb. Their beam patterns are nothing like a typical bulb, though. But for an ATV that won't be on the street, it shouldn't be a problem.

Be forewarned: they are expensive and they are ugly.

Alex - There are headlight kits for most popular ATV's that would convert them to LED, but they can be spendy. As for the wiring and voltage spec's, the previous post was correct. Most LED lights, in a sealed housing, are 9-32 Volt. Your ATV puts off 12V so any of them will work and they all run a power/ground circuit.
The hard part is deciding what lights you want to run and figuring how to mount them. The wiring is the easy part.

Thanks, but I'm looking for just a bulb to put in the headlights it's already got, and I've looked everywhere trying to find a bulb for it, but I can't seem to find any for it. It's a 2001 TRX250 recon, and there are hardly any aftermarket parts for it anyways

I feel really dumb, I typed something different in (don't know what it was) and found some on google -_- thanks for your help guys
