Hammering indents into a standard cx500 tank

Having seen a few threads on here and a few videos on YouTube I'm keen to give this ago. However I have been warned on the cx forum that indents will not form nicely due to the existing scallops. Additionally I have not been able to find a picture of a CX500 tank that has had its scallops enlarged.


Can anyone shed any light on the matter before I potentially ruin an other wise sound tank

It took me quite a few minutes, but I know I had seen one around. Found it on google images and it happens to be a DTT bike.
