Hand Controls!

I am interested in seeing who the creative folks are out there with their hand controls. (Toggle switches, hidden controls, rewired headlight/ taillight controls) Show me some pictures with a short explanation of your set up and why you decided to do it. I am not the best at wiring but I am trying to get ideas and inspiration for a simplified set up for my CB360.

Thanks in advance for any help and tips!

I second this request, I don't even know where to start when rewiring and rerouting all this stuff.

I just tried to make mine as simple as possible. No controls on the bars at all. The only switches on the bike are the kill and headlight hi/lo/off on the dash. This way there are no obviously visible wires up front, so it all looks clean and you can still reach that kill in a hurry if necessary. The neutral light is also on there. The tach in the video was just temporary for tuning.

One thing I am trying to figure out is a solution to still have my brake light come on when I squeeze the lever. I havnt seen any aftermarket brake levers with the option for it.

Most modern sport bike levers have The brake switch built in. What kind of bike do you have? Chances are it has an in line hydraulic brake light switch, most likely attached to the lower triple. There should be 2 wires coming off of it.

Or you can buy banjo bolts with a pressure switch in them, all my dirt bikes have used these.

I'm trying to find a brake lever with a switch for the brake light myself, but I'm drum brake on an sl350. Found plastic ones for a moped, but no thanks, lol.

I love this... how did you make the mount? what does it look like underneath? is it a box, or is it simply a plate?

Bump on this. Would be cool to see a walkthrough on your fabrication.

I have seen sudco reccomended for new/modern handlebar switch boxes. Although I don't have first hand experience with them.

I bought a brake leaver from Dime City Cycles and it came with an electrical connector for the brake light wiring. Check out their site.

I can't seem to find it either! A direct link would really be appreciated.

I did find one from Magura I think would work.

Lever and Perch - Here

Switch is separate - Here

I just found this for those who feel really creative!

I might attempt this myself.

I have a '75 CB360 and replaced all of the controls. The clutch lever and brake master cylinder are from a Kawasaki EX400 Ninja - the clutch lever connects right up to the Honda cable and the master cylinder works perfectly with the disc caliper. The throttle assembly and cables are new from Motion Pro. The headlight dimmer and horn combo are aftermarket for a dirt bike.
