"Harley" cables on a 360!?

DC74inc

Come on in and sit on it.
okay. so, I have 1" bars, that is where all this comes from, they are 1" M style; totally sweet.

THE PROBLEM is everything honda and metric runs 7/8" bars, ugh, so I need to use Harley 1" clutch perch and throttle.
are the cables universal (where they meet the carb!) because I'm trying to go from a harley 1" clutch to a Honda carb... woah.

Any comments will help, lol.

ANYBODY NEED SOME NEW 1" M Styles... ;) Thanks for the link. I might end up here.

I have a hard enough time keeping my cb360 running, let alone adding harley parts.

I'm not at all sure what it is you're trying to do here, I don't know what "M" bars are, but it doesn't matter. Sure you can use the Harley parts if you want to, and in fact if you can you probably should. They are extremely high quality, far better than Honda ever put on any of their bikes, and if I were you I'd use the Harley switches too because you're not going to find any better anywhere.

I can tell you one thing about Harley parts with certainty, the guys who belittle them don't have a clue in the world what they're talking about.

Ha... HD parts are made by the same companies in the same asian and third world countries as modern Japanese bike parts. Neither are any better the other.

HD may have some nicer aftermarket bits, but thats because they have 1000 different companies making them. At least some are bound to be great.

"Your new Harley, partially assembled in America, from Asian, Mexican, Canadian, etc (we've lost count) parts. Thats close enough right"? Should be there new slogan. ;)

All joking aside, I have no beef with HD stuff. Id buy an EVO Sporty to chop in a heartbeat, if they werent going for twice what theyre worth.

That said though, the overall quality of HD factory parts is really no better than any of the big bike makers out there.

And no, Im not talking out of my ass. I have a few buddies with HDs ranging from the 30s to modern, and have helped wrench on a number of them. Nice bikes if thats your style, but honestly, they arent anything special. At least not the new ones. A mint '38 knucklehead, or 56 pan is a beautiful machine.

and then to run Harley cables on a honda with 1" bars; that's legit.. as in they are compatable or no?
haha.. you guys got kinda heated over the H word.

It depends... The ends of the cables are what matters. If the ends will work youre good, if not call Motion Pro and theyll make you any cables you want.

well, im going OEM honda so, thanks for the input... ;and for the battle roy-al over HD/metric , no comment
