Been Around the Block
Been looking to buy a jacket with a '70s look and modern protection. That may be asking a lot, and I am willing to compromise. This jacket fits within my budget, and has a look I'm after, but I wonder about the protection. I've asked the seller about that, but haven't heard back yet (it's early still).

Have any of you bought a jacket from this ebay seller?

Thanks,

old leathers are some of the best protection in my opinion. even schotts from the 1970s are thick and if well maintained, comfortable and will protect your back and ass in a fall.

look at Hein Gericke jackets... they might have something youll like. they are newer, on the pricy side, but well worth it. i went through about 10 or 15 jackets before buying my gericke off of Noel (loco leon). buy it for comfort, not for looks. youll be wearing it a hell of a lot more then youd think, and you will begin to care less about how it looks as time goes on. ever see the guys who ride across the US, in all weather? they look geeky, yes. but they ride more comfortably (and, safely) than most people.
