Been Around the Block
Greetings from Battle Creek.

My name is Dan,and I've actually been a member of this site for about a year, but haven't posted anything until now. Not much of a talker I guess, maybe a better listener (reader). I really enjoy this site and admire and have much respect for all the talent in this community. It is really incredible to me that there may be thousands of miles between the members but it doesn't seem to take away from the comradery.

Currently I ride a 1987 Yamaha Radian. I know it's not the most desirable of bikes to cafe, but it's what I have for now, and my heart is in it.
I bought it about 2 yrs ago,I did a few things like put clubmans on it, changed the turn signals.

This past winter I've done quite a bit more.

Got some more things to do in the next week or two.
Thanks to all for a great place to share our passion.

greetings to another michigander!
Like the bike, man. I'm having a hard time making out exactly what is going on with that seat form, but I'm diggin it.
Sometimes taking those bikes that aren't as much a common choice and adding a bit of creativity and some hard work really pays off in a truely unique and interesting spin on the cafe theme. Looking forward to seeing more pictures and progress, lord knows we've had a long enough winter to give us time to work on stuff.

Battle Creek, eh? I'm in Kalamazoo right now, but I commute to KCC twice a week and grew up and still own a house in Coldwater. I've only been riding and working on my SR250 cafe for a couple years, but if there's anything I can help you with, let me know man.

I'm looking forward to seeing how your bike comes along... Nothing against the Honda crowd (I've got a DOHC CB750, after all) but I always really like seeing the weird bikes.
