Run different bars, you're gonna hate those. Scrambler bars, or low rise renthals, or superbike bars, anything but clubmans

Thanx dohcbikes, i will keep that in mind. Only been able to ride it twice. Right now the throttle keeps rolling on me. Plus i had a really bad oil leak.

How so? Like the entire housing moves?

Yes. My stock switch (bad condition, missing the start button) had the wiring running through the bars. When i installed the new handlebars i just went over the bars and it i cant seem to tighten it enough for it to not rotate without it making the throttle tube stick.

It's not the wirng that holds the switches in place. If I am not mistaken, there is an index tab for the control, and a hole in the stock bars.

That ^^^

Also, you shouldn't be able to tighten the assembly to the point that the throttle no longer turns. Something is wrong...

No. But because they are meant to go through the bars the housing does not tighten properly because of the wires.

I hope to replace it with a univeral switch and a simple throttle.

You need to grind a small notch in the housing for the wiring to run through...

I have. maybe its not big enough though. I hate having to hot wire it though. Cant seem to find the internals. Its appears someone stole the start button and the bracket that hold it on.

Anyone have any recommendations as to what i should replace that switch with to clean it up. I need the kill switch, start button, and lights.
