Thought it was time I Properly introduce myself. . .
I'm new to wrenching on bikes but I riding and wrenching are in my blood. Both my parents rode until just after they had me in '81.
My dad still has pictures of his 1100 special. I started riding about 4 years ago then sold my bike (an 86 Maxim 750x) and regretted it since. So last summer I bought a partially restored 76 CB550 and have mostly just been poking at it with a bottle Gin. Just these last few months have I actually caught the bug. I'm now trying to get the 550 buttoned up as well as two CL175's that I picked up the beginning of this month.
I'm up in FoCo (northern Colorado) and am looking forward to getting one of the bikes road ready soon. I'm really excited to be learning about these old bikes and I will surely have a ton of questions for everyone.
If there is anyone that rides and is up this way, drop me a line... Until July at least, by that point I'll be enlisted, or moving out to Chicago.
