Since i posted a poll in the help section i might as well introduce myself here as well. looking to get a 70's bike for my next project. Learned on a ninja 500 till the motor decided to drop a valve and blow a hole in the crank case. now i need to ride again!

Welcome! good luck with your search! Remember, the 80's bikes seem to be less expensive/more plentiful. People don't cry nearly as bad when you cut up a bike with a cruzier hump.

Should be plenty of good used bikes in the DFW area, I watch craigs all the time for grins.
