Been a big fan of this site for years now, but never had a bike and didn't feel proper to write. Now I have a bike and a half - 72' CB500 will be restored and the other frame and engine, also a CB500, will become a cafe racer...I hope. Anyway, great site, love the bikes and the site!

Bryan

Brian, welcome. I live in Colorado Springs and ride a 75 CB360. Is there anyone else here from Colorado? Sorry, not trying to hijack the post.

I'm pretty close to downtown Denver, just finished a friend's 70 CB350 and I ride a pretty much stock 68 CB350. Collecting parts for a 72 CL350 now...

I am also in Colorado Springs and am working on a 360. It's great to see other Colorado guys here

Yea, not many have the same vision, around here anyway. What part of town do you live in?

I'm near downtown. I should have the bike on the road again in a few weeks after a top end rebuild, I have to do the front brakes and some other odds and ends.

I'm north of Denver and ride with a few guys who aren't on this site. Gotta get something going this summer.

Where do you guys usually go riding? The longest ride I took mine on is from south CO. Springs to north Denver. Then had the motor rebuilt and it hasn't run since.

Welcome bganek. Good luck on your project. Make sure you take lots of photos.

Don't mean to hijack but 2slow that seat is super super sexy! Could be one of my favorites. The tail, turns and fender all look they belong. Great job!!! The rest of the bike looks great too. I really like a bike done this way.

We ride Downtown to acouple bars or to Lyons just Northwest of Boulder. Really nice curvey roads.

I hope you're not riding all the way from SD to go to a dive bar...the place is cool, but not that cool ;D

If you wanna see some bumfights and homeless dancers, though, there's none better.

haha, that won't be my only reason... There was another bar I can't remember the name of that had a great hangover breakfast, and bottomless mimosas. I have some friends that I need to visit in Ft. Collins and Denver. I was actually going to move there in May and work at a bicycle shop, but I got in trouble with the law here.

My name is Travis and I used to live in Denver for like 14 years and I know of a huge group of cafe guys all of which build their own bikes and ride all the time! An excellent ride is out of Golden up Golden Gate Canyon State Park Rd. Do it in the morning on Saturday or Sunday before 10AM. Not as much traffic and less chances for a speeding ticket. All those foothills rides are cool. If you like knee dragging switchbacks and long fast straights head up the route to Rampart Range the Platte river head waters around Decker's. There's a cool little motorcycle bar and grill that all the dirt trail riders stop at as they come out of the woods.

I'm in Texas now, its a long story but its where I grew up and I was done with CO winters and here we ride year round! There is a group of classic motorcycle guys that meet at the 404 Club at 404 Broadway, I want to say on Thursdays, but I could be wrong. You could call the bar and ask when they meet. Pretty good group of guys with some cool classic rides. Some times I wish I was still up there but I can always road trip it. I'm building an R5 Yamaha Cafe for a good friend right now. He lives in Littleton CO.

Anyway good luck and ride it like you stole it! Later Travis

Right on, thanks Travis. I think they still ave GTG at the 303 in Denver. Didn't get to make last year, but I will this year. Dennis

Anyone in Denver up for a ride this Memorial Day?
