Been Around the Block
Hello everyone, my name is Kali and I have been searching this site for Motovation and ideas/ help for months now and finally I decided to drop in and introduce myself.
I have 3 bikes wich will all be projects down the line. I will start with my 82 Yamaha xj650 that I got for $400 running good and in great shape. The deal also included a same year almost complete parts bike. I put some clubmans on her and I was riding that this past summer and will probably keep it like this for a while.
I also have a 76 Kawasaki kz400 that I plan of cafe'n out. I got this bike for free in peices from my supervisor at work, he says It ran when he tore it down. I got it mostly put back together and I plan on trying to get it running in the next couple months just in time for spring.
The third bike I don't technically have yet! I know I'm crazy, but I can't pass up a project. I'm going to look at a 89 Kawasaki en454 in pretty rough condition, but the po says the motor has been rebuilt less the 500 miles ago and the bike was running when parked less then a year ago. I plan on turning it into a hardtail bobber... And I figure for $250 with a title, it's a pretty good deal. If I do end up buying it tonight I will be starting a build thread asap.
