Hello everyone. I live in Moody, AL just outside of Birmingham. Just got back into motorcycles after about 5 years without one.
My daily rider is a 2005 Harley Sportster 883. I've had the Sportster for about 2 months and have put about 1200 miles on it so far.
I'm looking to build a small cafe racer. Thinking in the 350cc ish range. Right now I'm doing my research mostly. I'm probably about a year out from really getting traction on a build as the wife and I have our second child due in about 10 weeks and it takes a little while after a baby is born for everything to return to "normal".
I was referred over here by the fine folks on the Grassroots Motorsports forum.
Welcome to the forum from one bama boy to another. I'm in Gulf Shores. There are a few more from bama on here as well.
Good luck on the 350-ish rcer project. Keep us updated, and ask lots of questions. This is a good group and you'll hardly ever get smart-ass answers.
Cheers
Alex
Welcome. All you Southern boys are good people (well....most anyway, hahaha). Anyway, glad to have you aboard! I think you'll find this place to be pretty friendly. Make sure you start a build thread once you get started. Good luck with the comming birth.

Hey I know this guy! He's practically my neighbor! Good people. Hey if you ever need somebody to drink a beer with and tinker on a bike, I'm there dude!
Actually, I am the reason that this fella doesn't have a project right now.... :
Oh well, good to see you on the boards man. This place is where it's at!!!
Kiley - I thought when I sold you the 360 that the Sporty would be enough. I can't be too upset since it actually went to someone that's doing something with it. The GTI is more or less done so I'm shopping for my next project.
If I remember I'll take a couple pictures of the GTI and post them in the cages section. Probably next week when it's at the autocross.
