hello Do the Ton! Newest member eVo here from nebraska.

I have been racing and building bikes for years, I currently am working on a 1976 RD400 --> going to transform it into the ultimate cafe racer =P

My dad bought the bike new in 1976, in 1978 he decided to make it into a cafe racer, unfortunatly he never finished and the bike(along with a couple other vintage bikes) have been sitting the in garage going to waste. So I have decided to turn it into the ultimate machine!

I will definatly get some pictures put up soon!

Hey there and welcome! I'm a big fan of Nebraska, spend a good deal of time there most summers. I've never ridden a motorcycle there, but I bet it's nice with some loooong stretches of straightaway to get up to speed. Looking forward to seeing your builds.

yeah take a country road right off of I-80 and you have 100% cop free paved roadway =) Got my new kawasaki concours to 160 last week

Sounds sweet! A buddy in Kansas just picked up a Concourse... then he dropped it when cell-phone driver moved into his lane without looking. :-[ Once he gets it back together, I'll start asking him how close to 160 he's gotten.

When I lived out there I loved running my cars as hard as they could take, but I never had a bike and couldn't afford a decent cage. I did get my 1 liter subcompact Mazda up just over 105 a couple times on river bottom runs. Felt good about that.

Enjoy the open road!

damn...thats gotta suck. My dad used to have CBR1000 and he had it trailered taking it up to North Dakota a few years ago and some idiot rear ended him and it knocked the bike over in the trailer, had some cosmetic damage and a nice crack.
