Hello from Ontario

Rodent

Never waste a piss hardon
Hey all, I'm an 18 year old from Barrie, studying engineering tech in Hamilton. I live in a dorm which doesn't leave a whole lot of opportunity to work on bikes but I have a 1972 CB350 twin at home that I'm fixing up. I've been lurking here for the past couple months but now that I have a project I may contribute. This site is such a great resource and is full of inspiration.

Cheers.

Welcome! Always good to have someone who actually might know something around ;) What does 'engineering tech' mean?

Nice bike for a project - hope to see some pics soon and maybe you'll make it into Toronto this spring or summer for a ride.

Welcome to the insanity 8)... a Northern Neighbour!

Engineering tech is run by the engineering faculty but it's more practical, less theory. I'm specializing in automotive technology, which will get really neat as I progress, but first year is general math and science. I'm kind of hesitant to start a build thread because I don't know when I will have the time and resources to continue.

Alright, so this is my bike: 1972 CB350 twin. I call it my Harry Potter bike because right now it lives in a cupboard under the stairs, but great things may come of it. It's mostly complete except for electronics. I'm going to have to start from scratch there. I've got a buddy holding on to a complete engine for me that I will bring home for the February break to work on, but for now I can't do shit because I go to school in a different town. I'm thinking of making a neat little tracker, but it could go anywhere from this point. This is my first project of this magnitude so I'll probably be coming here for help when the manual, google, the search bar in this forum, and intuition fails me.
