Hello ddt !
Finally stopped stalking and started sharing. I've been a member for a lil while now, drawn in by my kz650 cafe plans and your awesome forum filled with dreams and inspiration. I'm a 25 year old import mechanic in Detroit....i know i know. Always rode dirt bikes, quads, rockets. My boss is a vintage cat who steered me towards the old kz's. I picked up a original 77 kz with three thousand original miles on it (put three grand on it last summer) for a good price couple years back. It was / is a great bike, handled well, incredible speed especially since i've only ridden gsx-r's and cbr's before. Once lurking ddt, i realized that i couldn't chop/modify my almost mint kawi. So a close friend of mine whom has all the intentions of keeping the bike as vintage as possible now owns her. We traded my kz for his 81 honda cm 400 and some cash. I'm a 5' 10" young buck weighing in around a buck fifty, and this cm was just to small to keep stock. Something about it screamed, "CHOP CHOP". I did some lurking all over the web and made some decisions. I've only owned the bike since the last week of January. I have posted some progression pics under the "feared and loathed bobber" section. Hoping to contribute and talk bikes!
