My name is Eric and I'm from Thorold, Ontario, Canada.
I currently own a 1974 CB450 and a 2009 SV650.
The CB450 was my first street bike (rode dirt for years) and has been with me since 1999. My Dad and I are in the planning stages of turning it into a "Brat Style" or "Tracker Style" custom.
You will likely see me lurking in the background and asking LOTS of questions as this project progresses.
If there is anyone else in my area, please shoot me a message!
Welcome to DTT sir. That is a beautiful 450... very clean. Not to be the purist but have you searched around for a less than beautiful complete 450 to mod? Either way its a great looking bike would be an excellent base. Good luck
That photo is from 2008. The paint job is mediocre, the seat is pretty rough, it leaks oil from the shifter seal (common problem, apparently), the clutch thread (little arm under the drive chain cover) was chewed up because somebody reassembled it incorrectly back in the day (I wonder who that could have been...) and the alternator cover was damaged in a garage fall over.
It's not in bad shape, but it's not pristine, so it's time to CHOP IT UP!
