Helmets (more money doesn't always buy more protection)

Yes, for some time now it's been known that expensive doesn't always mean safer in terms of helmets. You should always check a helmet's ratings with the various testing organizations. I've always made sure my helmets were Snell rated, probably because I used to race, and they always required Snell ratings on race helmets. I figure that's the best recommendation you could get.

I've never seen it - so thanks man!

It's good to see my modular helmet received 4 stars and the chin latch never came loose during testing.

My Simpson Outlaw Bandit helmet is not listed... Nor Simpson brand is in the list... However it´s DOT & SNELL 2010 approved. I guess that the helmet is not approved to use in UK.

Excellent site for future reference. Thanks-

I like the fact that you can pick a helmet that fits your head shape, and see what other lids will fit you too.
I was lucky enough to find that my Scorpion EXO 700, fits the same as an Arai XD3 that I knew fit but costs like 3 times more, by trial and error, because my local bike shop stocked both. The fact that it scores as well in tests is a nice plus.
