Help, Baffled at where the "C" bracket for center stand mounts, 1979 CM400

I tore down about a month ago, and can't, for the life of me, remember where this bracket mounted. I can take a photo if it would help, but I'm pretty sure every one knows what piece I'm talking about. if some one could snap a photo of where it mounts i would be forever grateful!

I've attached a pic showing the way it was on my old CB400. Sorry, but its the best pic I have of it, I no longer own the bike. I couldn't find a pic showing where the other end of the C attaches and I can't remember off hand, sorry. Note, bike is upside down in this picture.

Actually, just found another pic showing the attachment point of the other end of the C. Its a little 'thingy' (technical term ) attached to the frame just above where the center stand pivots. In the pic, I put a red arrow pointing to the C, at the top of the C you can see where it attaches. If you're still not clear take a pic of yours and I'll edit it to point to the places.

Just gave it a shot, don't think I have it right. Its on the small L tab right above the stand. When its extended seems right, but when its kicked up it seems awfully lose..
