High beam relay? Is this on a cb750?

yes it is from a 1980 cb750C, and it's not the high beam relay, i still have high/low but now i have no power to my starter switch? Is there a relay for that?

So if this part was blown would it stop me from getting power to my starter?

I don't think so. It's in between the neutral switch and clutch switch. I think its designed to stop current flowing back down one of the solenoid feeds (why I'm not too sure). Your starter solenoid is attached to the clutch switch and neutral switch and one (or both) have to be grounded for the solenoid to start.

One way to test would be to just run a earth into the starter solenoid on the negative side and see if it clicks.

Or buy a tester and check it:

Well in fact it is just a simple high wattage diode, without seeing how it is placed in the schematic I can't answer for sure. Do you have a multimeter, that has a continuity checker position? If so you can check if it is still good. With the part out of the harness check the terminals with the multimeter set to continuity check, reverse the leads on the two terminals and check again. One way you should get continuity and the other way should show open circuit. If thats what you get then it should be good, but if you get and open circuit with the leads in either order then I would think she's a pouched!

yup, its a one-way diode to keep current flowing both ways. one way should be open, other way around should be closed. ( like on/off)
