Help! Removing a centrifugal oil filter on a cb200?

I'm at a bit of a stalemate with this stupid motor, I've got the shop manual next to me and I put in the 8mm bolt into the center of the filter and now I'm supposed to use a Honda tool to remove this friggen thing. Anyone have an idea how to remove the filter without destroying the tabs?

Motion Pro sells the special socket for that castle nut. That is what you're asking about, right? A Honda motorcycle dealer should also have it as well.
