HELP Trying to open engine case on my 74 honda cb500t

Im trying to do a top end job on my 74 honda cb500t. I'm new to bikes. The bike has been running fine, no real problems. drained the oil, took it off the frame, removed the side covers, but I can't seem to rotate the timing chain to find the master link. any reason can't turn it?

the oil has been drained, the bike i believe is in neutral. anything I'm missing? how should I be trying to move the chain?

been trying by hand to just turn it but....nothing.

A 14mm wrench on the alternator bolt. I believe you rotate is counter clockwise.

Yup. You'll never turn it by hand. Need leverage.
