Help wiring indicator lights

Hey all!

I've been busy working on my build for the past couple months. I got a new speedometer for it and got everything wired correctly except my neutral and oil indicator lights. I'm just not sure how to wire them so I've come here for help!

1. The first picture is just the standard wiring harness as it came.
2. The second picture is the speedometer wiring. It has six other wires (blinkers, back light and high beam, as well as a ground for each one), but I didn't picture them as I have them wired fine. Red is the oil indicator and red/black is ground for the oil light. Green is the neutral indicator and green/black is the neutral indicator ground.
3. The third picture is how I think it should be wired into the main harness but I would just like to come here to verify if my thinking is correct. I realize that the oil and neutral wires are switched, so just pretend they are going to the right ones. Sorry about that!

One more question, I have my high beam indicator wired right into the power for my high beam light. My thinking is when the high beam is off the indicator is off, and when the high beam is on the indicator is on. But when the my switch is set to low beam, the LED is still lit up. When I switch it to high beam, the LED just gets brighter. If I wired a small resistor in do you think it would fix the problem? So it would be off while my high beam is off, but light up once it's on. I don't know if that made sense but I hope it did!

So any advice is welcome. I hate wiring and I just want to be done with it.

Thanks for any help!

Oh yeah sorry, that would be helpful. It's a 1977 Yamaha XS360.

The original OEM speedometer had everything. Oil indicator, neutral indicator, separate left and right signal indicators, high beam indicator, and a backlight.

The new one has Oil indicator, neutral indicator, single signal indicator (both left and right), high beam indicator, and a backlight.

To make the signal light work on left and right, you will need a to put a diode between the signal wires. A diode is a "valve". The signal will go to the light but it wont go back. Ill try to make a scematic today
