Help with custom exhaust for CB360

So I'm having no luck finding CL360 scrambler pipes. Figured I'll tackle fabbing up my own. Planning to mig all together with mandrel bends.

Spent lots of time researching, but seeing if anyone had experience using the stock double wall flanges welded to mild steel.

Plan is to do a 2 into 1 from 1.5" to 2" with a cone engineering quiet core muffler, ending near or past rear axle.

I have a friend currently making a custom exhaust for a 450.

He sawed the flanges off the stock pipes and welded them onto the new ones. I think he's tigging and using mild steel, though. Not sure if that helps or not.
