fluid dynamics... educate yourself...... report back

Are you able and willing to point this in the direction it needs or do we need to ...

Someone sign up for the student 3 year license of Simulation CFD.

It will show with some success the flow dynamics that are screwed up by having a solid section directly opposite the carbs intake.

I've always been known to go my own way.

I was referring to this one. Sometimes this old man thinks up some off
the wall ideas. That I have to work out in my head and then apply to actual
material resources. It was not directed at anyone else.

That's why I respect your build.

Hmmm, ???? I'll look into this further. The air coming in from a pod filter seems like it'd be a straight shot, and turbulent? Maybe, but again, when performance is what most guys are after when building these, there has to be something to the fact that they are on so many bikes? I'm not saying I don't believe you but I am going to look into it.

they're on so many bikes because they "look cool" and frankly the markup for a shitty overseas emgo pod is fantastic, think like printing money on shitty hotel toilet paper, so it makes a lot of sense to further the myth that they're awesome. on twins, they don't work as horribly as on 4's, but a stock airbox or at least a well designed scratch built airbox will work better. just look at motorcycle racing today, see any pods on those bikes?

Who mentioned anything about those crappy Emgo 'filters'?
And when I see a modern sport bike I see ram air.
