Just saying hello. Just joined up after checking out the site for a while.
A little about myself. I am a Tool and Die Machinist working in the plastics field. I live in eastern Wisconsin. And I just started riding this past fall.
I bought a CB350 that I plan on fixing up, tweeking it out, and having fun with it. I might even take in a track day or two ( I ain't afraid of no stinkin gixer!).
Very nice on both counts. Are you going to modify the CB350 much? If I were you, and if the bodywork is in as good shape as it looks, I'd take all those nice matching gold bits off and put them into storage. Replace them with odds and sods that you can paint or whatever. Don't hurt those nice original parts.
The top end of the bicycle is an 80 cc motor from livefastmotors.com that i repainted. I then machined an adaptor for the rear sprocket to fit the rear hub. It gets about 100 mpg or so, depending if I'm late for work or not.
As for the 350, like I told my friend, You havn't seen the other side of the bike yet.
I was wondering how fast the bike could go actually I'll check out that website though. Would drive my wife nuts if I put an engine on my mountain bike, which just may make the effort worthwhile!
