Just thought I'd introduce myself. I'm Jeremiah, 21 years old, living out in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Currently cafeing/bobbing a '73 Honda SL350. Took it down to the frame, currently working on bracing it up before it gets painted and put back together with new shocks, forks, tank, seat, front disc brake, clubmans, and tires. Hopefully it'll all be finished up halfway through next month.

I'll try to get some pictures up. The girlfriend is the one with the digital camera though, and she generally doesn't trust me with anything breakable, especially in the garage. So we'll see how that goes... it might be a while.

Nice forum you have here, spent a good hour or two just browsing around. And it definitely helps pass the time at work.

Welcome Jeremiah.

Sounds like a great project. Get your girlfriend into the garage to snap a few pix.

And it definitely helps pass the time at work.

I know what you mean. The day passes a lot quicker.

Welcome... and congrats on coming to such a wonderful decision at such a young age :D

Yeah, I'm told these old bikes are a blast to ride around the track on. I heard someone say his built cb350 ran circles around his sv650.. but I might have to see that one to believe it. Who knows, hopefully I will.

Either way.. there's something more interesting about building some character into an old racing bike anyways.

Does anyone here know a good place to find steering dampers and fork braces for these old hondas? Never worked on a bike before, so I'm just sort of making things up as I go. Hopefully there won't be too many extra bolts laying around when she goes back together..

Do what I did... order a complete set of new SS fasteners... this way there HAS to be bolts left over ;D

I'm sure someone here has a source for you... haven't had a Honda apart yet myself.
