Hello,
Just got my 1974 CB360. First time rider.
About the bike:
Picked this up online. A very clean bike with a fresh coat of paint. Looks mainly original, but I'm no expert. It has a few issues that I have seen so far that I plan to address:
1. Front forks
Minor leaking and one of the dust boots is split.
2. Loses power/misses between 4000-5000 RPM.
Will start to isolate this and get it resolved. Funny thing is it starts and works great up to about 4K. After 5K it is also great. Also - if open the throttle I can accelerate fine through the entire RPM range. Lots of power - at least it feels like that to me. I suspect an air leak, some carb tune/sync, ... lots of things to try.
3. Neutral is hard to find once it warms up.
I did the trick of reving to 2500+ and it will pop into neutral.
4. Some other minor stuff:
- Horn needs replacing - way to soft
- Mirrors are not stock - square with too short arms
About Me
Grew up in a garage, never owned a bike before, now an engineer (computers). So I'm really looking forward to getting my hands dirty again and learning to ride, safely. Aside from that - just an average 48yrs married guy with kids, enjoying the new bike and the great weather we final have in Toronto!
Cheers,
Peter
