my name is lee and i have a 1979 xs1100 special i have had for 2 years now. i bought it broken for 200 bux and built up the motor and put in a 1179 big bore kit in it from a member on xs11.com.

Im still stuck on whether i want a cafe or a bobber...i just don't know but need to keep it a 2up because my wife love to ride. there are some thing on the bike that are different now. mainly the turn signals are swapped for some smaller led ones and it has a side mount license plate.

Welcome to DTT man. There's a couple other people with the XS tanks around here.... but not many.


Make it into whatever you want! If you want to go cafe, you can keep the original seat and mounts for when your wife wants to ride. Just make a 1 up seat that uses the same mounts.
