Hi

Thought I better say hi and congrats on such loaded forum.....

I've been involved in Scooters as a hobby for the last something like 8 years......I'm sorry about that!! Lambrettas mainly, building motors and pipes etc...

About a year or two ago while researching cafes I found the photos of Zero engineerings XV750. Never thought I'd actually give it a go to build something like it but after browsing the forum for a few weeks I just bought this.....

Hope you don't mind another one of these, hopefully put my own stamp on it ;)

So hi and thanks for the info so far.

Adam

Hey I've been to Leeds back in 1992. Visited Bob Jackson Cycles and watched the builders assembling Hetchins frames.

I Just love it, broke down just to the essential stuff. I mean look at that bracket on the front cylinder. Like a piece of girder in there, Awesome. 8)

I think a guy from the Netherlands has it now but could be wrong.....

I just came back from Leeds myself. A good friends owns a creative agency near the central train station, and we were working on a project together.

Good luck with the build. Keep the pics coming.

Hey Adam. Welcome. Loved that bike when I saw it on BikeExif last year. http://www.bikeexif.com/yamaha-virago

I think its great that you chose this route. Looking forward to seeing what your'e going to do with it. It looks really nice and clean.

Amazing how "British" it looks!

As for scooters, that's awesome. Hey, the fact that its a fashion accessory doesnt make it crap, and the days of a modsvsrockers clash happening are long gone! Ive found being on this forum very helpful.
Ive got this little 125 Primavera lurking in the back of my garage wanting a bit o f love. I may get to it someday.

Take care,

Welcome, you'll find all bikes welcome here, and if you make it cool, people will love it. One of the members makes a rear to front wheel conversion for these bikes to get the fat front tire look. I like that bike and if I could get a cheap project I would tackle one.

Cheers

Maritime.
