Hi Y'all From Kentucky

Hi! I'm new to the forum! I have a 1974 Honda CB 125 with a 200cc Chinese engine popped in. I have been riding my motorcycle for about 2 1/2 years, but I grew up in the country riding scooters, four-wheelers, dirt bikes, street bikes, or any other junk bike that would run. When I moved to the city as an adult I mostly rode scooters until I discovered the CB 125 and that its awesome small size fits a short person like me! I still have a lot to learn about maintaining the old bike, as I have mostly been a rider and not much of a mechanic, unfortunately. I just attended Spring Thaw and met some awesome people, so I look forward to keeping in touch with everyone, in addition to meeting new people on the forum!

Hey grrrrl! It was great hanging out at the Thaw. Welcome aboard the short bus.

Sorry Fix was such a jerk the whole time. Welcome to the fold.

Those of you who've listened to the podcast know that Ms. Novella has done what few here can claim - increased the available HP on her bike by 50%.

Thanks Rich Ard! Glad to be aboard. Just heard the podcast. My Honda, with its 200cc engine, will run comfortably at speeds around 60-65 mph. When my Honda had its original 125cc engine the speed maxed out at 55 mph. Last year, thanks to the new engine, I was able to get the Honda up to 75 mph on some straight country roads in Lexington. I was pretty happy about doing the three-quarter ton last summer! It may not be the fastest bike, but it is working out great for me. I'm having fun with my little bike on the scenic roads of the Bluegrass State!

Welcome to the Ton.........................wished I could have made it to the Thaw, maybe next time.

Guess that Chinese engine's purdy good huh? Where did you buy it?

Got links?

My little CB100 could use a little more hp too.

Thanks and once again welcome.

WELCOME! :)

Always good to see more female riders on The Ton.
Hey there's nothing wrong with the 3/4 Ton.
Sounds like you guys had a great time in Kentucky.

Thanks for the welcomes!

I found my 200cc Lifan engine on Craig's List a couple years ago. A guy in a nearby town here in KY was going to pop it into his bike, but he said he never got around to fixing up his bike so he was selling the engine. Got a pretty good deal on it. I never found out the exact website from where the guy purchased it.

Welcome! It was good to meet you at the Thaw. Hope you can make it to the next big event at Barber.
