HID headlight

Been Around the Block
I need a new headlight and want to know if anyone has tried or is using and HID, and is it total shit? Or is it great?

Lower power consumption for the same brightness, some have a combination hid and normal beam for high and low, some have a movable reflector that moves the light for high and low.
they last longer then a normal globe as they dont break filaments with vibrations.
going hid and led indicators will reduce the load on the altenator for the same amount of light.
but the arctic blue normal globes are good as well if you dont go the hid path.

Just got my H4's from DCC yesterday. Installed it and I must say it's like night and day (pardon the pun) difference. HID is, I'm sure better to some degree, but H4 bulbs are 12$ and readily available. I'm running the 35/35w and it's easily 2x brighter then my old sealed beam.

I also installed a new headlight on my CB350K4 using the H4 lamp (35W/35W). Huge difference even with the lower wattage. Don't let that deceive you. I have seen that you can purchase the H4 LEDs as well. Although, I would assume you also need the load resistor for this type of setup to run any LED lamps.
