Sorry for being a dick earlier. I was in some pretty good pain and it was too early to take my medicine.
Bradj....I am sorry. You are not a hack.
I was feeling a little defensive with all the comments. Piston melting hits a nerve on me and gets me worked up. That Mach deal cost me a ton of money.
BTW...mach was rebuilt with a 5.0 livernois stroker kit. Ford Gt supercar cams. billet oil pump. stainless valves with ported and polished heads. kooks longtube headers...etc..
The mach was far from a bolt-on car when I sold it...lol. It's in Chicago running 9's with some front and rear suspension work.
Again...sorry...didnt mean to hurt feelings....but noobs have them too.
That was just on 8 psi. I miss it....but all I think about know is motorcycles. I went and looked at a Harley Breakout on Saturday. Wife has greenlighted
a new bike or two!! When I get over this back fusion and two elbow surgeries I have coming up. I was a tile guy for 22 years and got hurt last May and have been home with 3 ruptured disc in low back...3 in neck...and probably one in midback. Dr. says Im done working. Thank god my wife was smart enough to insist I carried work comp on my business...or I would be ruined.
Im waiting on the new bike/bikes till I see what kind of shape I come out of all this in. there is a possibility...I may not even be able to ride.
Became a site supporter today. Least I can do for showing my butt. Not to keep saying it...but I started off with the wrong attitude here and I am sorry.
I have been reading the father son cb200 build for the last couple hours and have been blown away at the brotherhood on this site. I made a mistake and I will do my best to contribute where I can, support members, and not be "that guy" anymore.
Back to reading the build...I cheered when they fired it up. I wish I hadn't shut my stepfather out so much...we had out projects, but I turned down the wrong path in my teen years and wasted a lot of quality time.
I am Dave. I want to build Cafe Racers. I dont know squat. I'm going to shut up...and sit over here and listen.
Welcome to the madness Dave. Look forward to seeing you complete the awesomeness that is an RD350. Once you get to throw a leg over it and really rip up some pavement you'll see why there is such a devoted following for them. As someone who's owned several differnt motorcycles over the years (from Hondas to Harleys), I think the most fun I've had was on a proper Yamaha smoker.
Welcome don't worry about the seal mania ;D by your second post I could see you were up to speed . Mighty take some 3 or more pages but they'll get it : nice k model had a tracker project k model ended up selling it to fund others not one of my best decisions. Oh if your not going to use some of the stock parts let me know i am a buyer 8) or can trade have some chambers ,rear sets extra.
Reading builds and collecting pictures. I'm a sponge today. Woke up...back wasn't totally killing me...was gonna do something productive...moved wrong and geeked my neck. Somewhere....some disgruntled ex has a voodoo doll of me...and its full of pins.
