ello ello everyone, Ive been lurking here for a few weeks now and have noticed that Im spending way to much time here so I should at least sign up to say hello.

I LOVE cafe racer bikes, although I dont actually have one yet. I plan to very soon though.
I found this site through all the bad publicity and the shit one your members unknowingly kicked up at avdrider.com!, (poor Loco, he got beat up for posting a link to the site.lol)

ANY WAYYYYSSsssss...Although Im new to cafe racers and the vintage scene, Im not new to riding. I've been riding since I was 17.
Im really hoping to move to Toronto by May and get a cafe racer in Toronto. Im suppose visit next week but it looks like its being pushed over a week :( I was hoping to meet some of you guys soon!

MrRetroGrouch promised to chaperon me around as soon as I get there!..(Should I be concerened?..I understand hes quite the ladies man ;)

Well look who's here ;) Great to have you aboard! I'm sure you can teach all the boys here a thing or two about riding motorcycles. Yes, RetroGrouch aka DrJ can accomodate all your needs. And as for the ladies man thing, well my reputation precedes me 8)

lol. so are vintage kawai's better than vintage hondas?. Ive always been a honda or Yami girl. Never been crazy about the Ninjas
 
I wouldn't say they are better, just faster. Hondas are sexier (yeah, I said it, so what) but the old school Kaws are faster. Vintage Kaws are a far cry away from the Ninjas, styling isn't that different than the Hondas or Yammies from the same era. It all depends on what you like. I happen to like the old KZs myself. But there are some amazing looking Hondas on this forum. Some of them have almost made me want to run out and find a CB project to tackle, almost. :p

Hey, didnt Kawasaki start off my making vespa like scooters?...
 
Not too sure about that, but I know that by the 70's everyone was trying (without much success) to make a faster bike. ;D

Kawasaki may have been the muscle king of the 70s but they were poor handlers and many were crashed going around corners. Honda, on the other hand, have always strived for balance. So there :p
 
Of course it was Suzuki that found the perfect balance between power and grace...put that in your pipe and smoke it ehehehehe :p

Well,put it this way....
If motorcycles were kids in a school yard then the Kawasaki kids would be the school yard bullies 8) and make the Honda kids give up their lunch money or else! :'( If the Suzuki or Yamaha kids tried to even slightly intervene or snitch :-X then they would be next on the list to loose their lunch money along with getting wedgies,Swirlies,noogies,wet willies etc. :eek:

There,now does that put it more into perspective? ;)

And the Harley kids would kick everybodies ass. Including the faculty. :eek:
