So, I did some research into homemade soda blast kits thinking about blasting some shitty parts of mine, seeing if I could bring them back to life. I went through here and found as much info as I could on making one of these soda blasters.
After reading a few threads and going to a few links, I thought it was time to try my hand at blasting. I searched high and low to find hoses that would facilitate my needs: "This ones too big, this ones too small, this one is too rigid, this one is too short..." I end up finding a hose from a project car at the garage 1968 Type 3 Squareback.
Just some shit laying around it now has become part of my blaster. I took the nozzle and slid it into a hole I made about 2 inches from the end and diagonally cut the other tip to help get a better flow. I learned a number of things from this experiment.
Use a mask for 1 and number 2 slightly large hose for better flow but all was not a loss.
A few photos a before and after and a shitty photo of my setup
