Don't see nearly enough of the Hawk, and I haven't seen many customized. Always been a fan, but have never ridden one.

a lot of those get scooped up for track purposes because of the handling. Way ahead of it's time. I had the chance to buy one cheap before I knew anything about bikes and didn't. In hindsight I should have.

I would buy one also but they command higher prices than they are actually worth. I would build it into a track bike though ;D Track is the only way to go as far as I'm concerned, everyone is going the same way..hopefully ???

It's an interesting tire choice - look like flat track racing tires. Any reason those over something more road specific? Or am I mistaking the tread pattern for something else?

Got me wanting the hawk. Wonder if one could do a spoke conversion on that rear wheel...

Tim I think you will find they are rain tyres but I could be wrong. If they are rain tyres they don't work well in the dry! Still a nice bike though :)

I've raced with rain tires before and if it dries out you only have a few laps before the tread starts melting and shreading off. Of course there a many different compounds of rains too :D

Lucky this one is ridden by my 70 year old dad on the road but that's for the advice
