836cc Racing/Hot Street Motor for Sale

Grab a cup of coffee(or a beer),this is gonna take a while.

Engine is a late model F2. The crankcases have been modified internally by having all casting flashing removed, oil drainage openings opened out and radlused to improve crankcase gasflow. All aluminum parts bead blasted then cleaned in an ultrasonic cleaner, all oilway
plugs removed to ensure complete cleaning .Starter removed.
Kickstarter shaft cropped and bored, spacer with anti rotation arm fitted in lieu of ratchet mechanism, kickstarter shaft opening in
clutch cover plugged, oil pump drive gear skimmed both sides to reduce weight. All main bearings renewed.
The crankshaft was lightened by chamfering webs to aid oil throw off and cut down windage then dynamically balanced, Crankshaft taper recut to fit a CB360 alternator with a thinner custom cover. This increases ground clearance and eliminates the need for a battery
while still providing power for ignition and lights. The connecting rods were polished to a mirror finish, we!ght equalized, then shot peened to aero engine industry standards to improve fatigue strength, new bearing shells fitted. Wiseco high compression pistons were weight equalized and fitted.

The cylinders were cleaned up externally, all cooling passages between the bores were cleaned up to enhance airflow. The cylinder head cooling fins were dealt with similarly, head skimmed to increase
compression ratio, exhaust ports cleaned up, inlet ports carefully gas flowed and polished. Rocker cover had bosses welded in to
enable fitting clamping screws to help hold down camshaft bearing brackets. Rockers lightened and polished, inlet valve sterns
reduced in diameter in way of ports, heads lightened, race valve springs fitted, alloy valve collars fitted, Manley race cam fitted
with slotted drive sprocket to enable correct timing. clutch basket lightened and balanced.
Boyer Bransden electronic ignition fitted.
Engine run for about 20 breakin miles.

Note: AT THIS TIME ENGINE IS BUMP START ONLY

Price: $3500 obo.

Because of an understandable reluctance for someone to purchase an item like this without verifying its' contents, for a fee of $250 I will disassemble the motor in the presence of a potential buyer or videotape the process. If the motor is as described and is purchased
the $250 is part of the payment. If the motor is not as described, fee will be refunded. If the motor is as described and not purchased the
fee is forfeited. Regardless, the motor will not be reassembled in as buyer may want to make additional changes(such as adding kickstart).

The gentleman who hand built this Rickman also built the AHMRA 750cc engine that propelled the bike to 150mph. I think the performance of his 836cc engine should be somewhat better.

I hate to be the one to say it, but most of us don't pay that much for an entire build. Good luck with the sale

I think im gonna go with lingo there isnt enuff info to back up the asking price

Grimy ass motor with no real build details for $2k? Give us more info man!

You may have better luck putting it in a bike and selling the whole thing...

OK on the grimy ass exterior. It's been crated for a while.

However, I'd like to know better prices than these:

Wiseco pistons-$450 no labor

Race ported and polished head $800 labor only

Modified rods $300

Race crank $400

And if it doesn't sell it goes into the frame below to make an ultralight
street racer.

You seem as if you've been around bikes and performance machines for a good while. That said, you should be aware that what the parts cost new don't really matter when selling a project. Hope ya make a buck on the sale, but $2k plus does seem a bit high. I've seen entire good condition race bikes (with well over $10k invested AFTER the bikes purchase price) sell for less than a 1/4 of what the owner has in it.
