Honda brake cam

Hi, I originally asked this question in my build thread. I really need a brake cam to put the rear wheel on and get this bike up and running. It went missing some time during my restoration. Part #7 in the diagram below is what needs replacement. so if anyone has it and they are willing to sell it then great, send a pm please. But my big question here is ???: Is there another Honda brake cam that is the same part used on a different bike I.E. 750 or something. It would be much easier if I could find it off of something else. Thanks again, Joe

oops, the most important thing: 1972 Honda CB 450

I'm not sure what the Honda part number is. I got the diagram from bike bandit with their part number which is discontinued. I tried that site and nothing came up....But I like that idea and I saved it for future searches.

On bike bandit if you use the part number from the OEM part # column, then search their site for it, it will tell you what other bikes it was used on and if its still available.

However, if its not available for one bike, its not available for all of them. I need a new oil drain bolt for my 450, and it was used on like 20 other bikes. However, its not available for any of them and theres no alternative part.

I just went on the Motogrid site http://www.motogrid.com/pages/parts/viewbybrand/7/default.aspx#top looked under 450 K5 (72) came up with part

number SKU: 43141-216-000
CAM, RR. BRAKE

The 550 one I have does not look like it will work for you..

"All over eBay" , well my search shows nothing for my 450.

my bad... i was looking at cb350 brake cams at the same time i was reading this thread... mixed up the words from both.
:D

These guys apparently have it:

http://www.hondarestoration.com/nosResults.asp?models=CB450-K2,CB450+K2-Super+Sport+450-1969

Also check cmsnl.com , i find they have a lot of the parts lying around that are no longer available over here. Pay a bit of a premium cus its from europe, but if you cant get it anywhere else... *edit*, like, for example, i need a new drainbolt for my 450, bikebandit and all the US sites say its no longer available, CMSNL has it, but 24 euros for it... Plus shipping. Worlds most expensive drain bolt, but i need it so...

Also try searching google or ebay for the honda part number by itself, 43141-216-000, i got a bunch of google hits with stores that say its in stock, but the site i linked seemed the most reputable.

Honda restoration it is! Thanks for all the info everyone. You cant beat this site, I mean were else will someone take a photo and put the exact dimensions for the part your looking for? ;) Thanks again guys.....everyone's a big help!
