Honda CB 750 RC42 Future project?

Hey guys!

What you guys think of the RC42 as a café base?are these bikes enjoyable?
I´ve been messing around with my RD350 pretty much all year,and i´m looking for new project.

Is there a big bore kit and tuning possible on these bikes?

I like these bikes done up stock with some 80s Superbike influence.

They look nice but how are these performance wise?

The top one is a works AMA superbike from around 1980 and made a claimed 140 bhp and did 160 mph at Daytona.
The no.28 bike is a 400 made to look like a 900, it'll probably do about 120 mph

Neither of those pics are rc42's though. Those are both 80s, cb750s. Totally different frame and motor

of you buy it plan on going thru and checking the alternator chain and tensioner

they rattle like the dickens then go quiet in a bad bad way

and they have all the dohc charging system woes and issues

I just aquired 2 Xs750 triples, so no cb750 for me 8)
