Honda CB350 Clutch not actuating

So yeah, the CB350 clutch is not actuating. The bike shifts through all the gears and whatnot, but if it's in, let's say 1st gear, and we hold the clutch and try to roll the bike the bike will not come out of gear.

I'm curious if anyone is familiar with the mechanism that actuates the clutch and whether or not that part has been known to wear and malfunction? The parts all look like they're in decent shape. When we pull the lever I suspect the screw mechanism is supposed to screw out and push the pushrod, but the mechanism does not screw out. It only turns in place and stays the same depth in the cover.

Any thoughts? Do I need to replace this actuator? If so, anyone have one? Thanks guys!

Sounds like you need to adjust it.

Take off the sprocket cover and verify the ball bearing is in place. If so, put the cover back on and torque it down.

Then start the adjustment with the handle bar screw for the clutch cable about halfway in. Then go down to where the clutch cable connects to the side cover and screw that one all the way in.

On the side of the sprocket cover will be a threaded bolt held in place by a lock nut. Loosen the lock nut and adjust the threaded bolt until you feel the resistance of the clutch actuator rod against it (if I remember correctly, this adjustment is "backwards". Counter-clockwise to tighten up the actuator adjustment). Now back it off about 1/8 of a turn.

Now start unscrewing the bolt (the clutch cable runs through it) at the top of the sprocket cover. This will add tension to the clutch cable. Sweet spot is when you have about an inch of free play in the clutch lever. Fine tune using the screw near the lever.
