Been Around the Block
So now that my cafe "modding" is completed for this riding season, I am 100% focused on having a rideable bike. I am having issues with my carbs. Background info: Bike is a 1975 CB360, it has CB450 carburetors on it (CV type Keihin 5-speed 14H carbs). Jetting was set as follows: slow jet #38 and Main Jet #150. I am running the bike without air filters and I have EMGO Dunstall replica pipes (essentially straight pipes).
I thoroughly cleaned out the carburetors recently and started the bike up. Here is what I am noticing:
It takes about 5-10 kicks to get the bike started. When it starts up, it takes about 2 seconds to keep a consistent idle speed.
When synching the carburetors, the air mixture screw had to be all the way in for maximum RPM even though the carbs were cleaned.
When giving the bike some gas, there is stumbling and I hear a strange noise from the carburetors. I looked at the slides and they just jiggled up and down when I would roll on.
I got word that the main jet #150 was WAAAAY too big for a 360. Also I was told that the slow jet probably needs to be upped in size if idle speed is iffy and the air mixture screws behave the way that they do.
